We are set for a volunteer event this month! Come out and give back to the canine community that allows us all to have jobs that we literally love. We will offer our services to Paws & Claws – the Apache Junction animal care and control center. They are doing great work, but they can use all the help and support that they can get, like all of the angels in our midst that help homeless animals every day (yes, including many of our members).
We will provide dog walking, cat petting, grooming (for those of us who are experienced), enrichment activities, kennel cleaning, office support, laundry assistance, etc. Whatever we can do to help them out.
It’s a bit of a drive for many of us, but the weather is forecasted to be not super summer hot yet and everyone who attends will help APPSA build community connections which will only help our membership in the long run. Yes, the folks in AJ talk to the folks in Peoria, Scottsdale, Maricopa, and Avondale. Many in the shelter/rescue communities do talk and this is one very satisfying way to get our presence out there.
Since we will be having fun with the animals that so need more interaction in order to make them more adoptable, this is not a lunch meeting. It is suggested that you eat before, after, or bring a brown bag.
We sincerly hope to see you next Tuesday to help us pay it forward!
